I made a workaround, by setting the dim brightness to 100 percent,
meaning the brightness it is on before dimming.

  Screen dims when disabled

Status in gnome-control-center package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Screen dims even though it is disabled in power settings, though it is only 
when it is on battery power.
  I do not want it to dim the screen while i am reading something, therefore 
disabled it.

  Ubuntu release: 17.10
