In the Recent files list menu, when you have a pdf with a filename such as
file_with_underscores.pdf
it appears on the list as filewithunderscores.pdf, i.e. the underscores
disappear and the words get concatenated.

Re-installing the Intel Drivers through the Intel Graphics Installer [1]
seems to have solved the problem, some configuration files were probably
over-written during the update.

I have a second monitor on DisplayPort, and its list of supported
resolutions was limited to 800x600 and 1024x768 after the latest kernel
update.
I was able to restore the native resolution (1440p) for the monitor
using xrandr.
