Harry,
xenial-proposed (devel-proposed) is by definition pretty broken, see [1].
Sure you are free to use it, and maybe in some limited cases it will work, but
overall its pretty much guaranteed that packages in there have broken
dependencies or failing tests. This is vastly different from
Harry, we allow both libs on the ppa builds to be co-installable, but
the archive builds require a full transition anyway (all reverse deps
get rebuilt). Also the debian guys claim there are issues having them
co-installable, from the changelog

Will go with the originally proposed split, using the ubuntu langpacks

Gunnar, I read Martin's comment as only affecting Ubuntu
gnome-online-accounts is tangled up in many packages in main, and while
it might be possible to split out the bits that require webkit2 into

horribly messy idea.

yes your probably right, the webkit2gtk binaries would need to be in
main for building purposes, but the binaries that built against those
could be demoted to universe. Maybe that becomes too confusing? but not
sure what else can be done, its incredibly unlikely that a full
webkit2gtk transition
I already did that in the linked l-s branch[1]. gnome-getting-started-
docs package which contains the C locale will be seeded and always
installed, mainly because many of the locales fallback to this content
where the translations are incomplete (there are only 5-6 that are 100%
complete)
Laney,
all (or atleast most) of the locales have localised image/svg files of about
~2MB each, and while the majority use the english videos, there are 5-6 that
have localised videos. Now I am not even sure if the images/videos get pulled
into the launchpad translation packs, but I suspect
Gunnar,
Ok, but is adding 2MB of gnome-shell specific SVG's to the shared
language packs, going to be acceptable, since if not there seems little
point in pulling in just the markup (so far as making maintenance
easier)
So far as installation goes, I didnt see anything in language-selector
that
