it again locked up with a black screen and just a moving mouse cursor.
I see this during the reboot in my syslog:

Thanks Tim. This morning at 11:50 I had to do a reboot due to a lockup
for an unknown reason. Since then I've seen probably thousands of lines
like this in my syslog:
Mar 16 11:52:14 localhost kernel: [ 46.590988] usblp0: removed
Mar 16 11:52:14 localhost kernel: [ 46.595086] usblp 2-6:1.0: us

I have my printer working again, for how long I don't know but here is

and 2) I ha
Please take a look at my bug report - 1428356 - and see if it's the same
as this one. It sure looks like it to me and it's getting very
frustrating.

I had to go to an appointment but when I got back I tried again with
14.04.2 LTS to print a test page from the CUPS web interface. Syslog
shows:
Mar 12 10:14:10 localhost hp[9034]: io/hpmud/musb.c 151: unable
get_string_descriptor -7: Resource temporarily unavailable

Tested with Live DVD, no it still does not work. I even moved printer
cable from USB Hub to USB port on computer and retested. Tried to save
Syslog from Live DVD test but could not.
