Every time I launch firefox, the display becomes a number of horizontal
brs, slightly skeweup going up, and the LUbuntu system is totally
unusable, causing me to have to hard reboot.
I have tried completely removing and reinstalling firefox.

It is not related to screen saver nor to VNC.
It is an old bug and has been around for a long time. It was originally
reported in

I do not have a
keyboard.gnome-settings-plugin
in
/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon
I only have one in
/usr/lib/gnome-settings-daemon-2.0

Foop game, it will hang the game and the following process uses 100% of
