The buttons on the clickpad on newer laptops are completely unusable
without setting the AreaBottomLeft. Without AreaBottomLeft set anytime
you try to click using the mouse buttons causes the cursor to move
(especially difficult for double clicking). Setting the AreaBottomLeft
works great but with AreaBottomLeft set using the 1.6.2 synaptics driver
the right click and middle click buttons stop working. This bug has been
fixed in 1.6.3+.

Title:
  clickpad right/middle click and AreaBottomEdge

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-synaptics” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
When specifying an AreaBottomEdige (dead area), right and middle click
buttons do not work. This has been fixed already in the 1.6.3 release
  ( see http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-input-
  synaptics/commit/?id=a5ac54f60af96b9b862425ccd8b6c7afaa4937e4 for the
commit for this change). This will make clickpads way more workable
  for many people.

Please consider this upstream patch or update the driver to 1.6.3
  please.
