Hi - ok - very long thread so not quite sure how best to resolve.
I note bubblewrap is marked as confirmed but no resolution.
For budgie-control-center - backgrounds - Add Picture I found that the
gnome-desktop library libgnome-desktop-3-20 is calling bwrap and that
this was failing due to
I have done a quick test with ubuntu budgie and nemo.
For some unknown reason, the right-click compress option no longer
compresses the chosen folder. This worked with the gtk3 version.
Extracting an archive does work and correctly uncompresses the tar.gz

20 Dec 2021 fresh just installed ubuntu budgie jammy daily
My network HP Photosmart printer is not detected. In fact the only
printer found via gnome settings is CUPS-BRF-PRINTER
This is a regression since both 20.04.3 and 21.10 both find the same
printer on the network
I think the issue here lookinh at the GSD errors in the trace is that
gnome-settings-daemon is mismatched with mutter

What I was also saying that the v3d overlay overcomes the flashes issue

Yes - the support for Ibus non-xkb layouts via the applet is broken in
focal - fixed as you have seen in groovy.

For 20.04 and 20.10 using the TearFree option has provided a workaround
solution for me.

[FFe] Update to 3.38.0
Ok. On my low end celeron based intel graphics laptop the existing 20.04.1
version of mutter on the iso has this blinking problem.
So the uplift to v3.36.6 version of mutter in proposed does not regress
further than it already is.

on 20.04.1 the sound level is correct (tested on the ISO).
So its only 20.10 where the sound level starts at zero.

On boot into the live session - or on first install the sound level is
muted.
I have to use GNOME Control Center - Sounds to change to an appropriate
level. Once changed the level chosen is correctly retained between
reboots.
This appears to be a regression from 18.04
I do not see any window flickering with QEMU hosting 20.10 guest. So
specific to intel i915? Sorry - I cannot test radeon or Nvidia.

Note - this affects GNOME-Shell on Xorg as well.
Confirmed with intel i915 driver.
GNOME-Shell on Wayland there are no window flicker
So most probably a regression in mutter (since budgie and GNOME-Shell
share the same window manager) in the X11 handling.

Enabled the proposed repo and confirmed that v0.19.3-1.1 of the package
installed without issues.
Running through the test case I can confirm that the import button is
now visible and can be used to import music.
Ran through a few regression tests to confirm that other sources toolbar
options
