Hello my Ubuntu friends,
I can no longer play sound over my external HDMI connected TV.
The image displays perfectly, but all the HDMI output devices are listed
as "unplugged"
I have spent a huge amount of time trying every solution that Internet
searching will bring but

The wifi I am using is a 5GH AC network.
When it disconnects, which is very often, such as every 10 minutes,
sometimes it can reconnect by simply restarting the network-manager
service, i.e
$ service network-manager restart
But sometimes this doesn't work and the only

Since at least 6 months, the wifi constantly disconnects and is very
hard to reconnect by restarting the network-manager service.
This is really painful.
I see lots of questions on Ubuntu stack exchange, but no appropriate
answers.
This afffects me on 12.04 running on an Asus EEEpc 1201n It is
systematic, the computer never completely powers off anymore, altough it
used to some time ago.
Also, I run Gnome not Unity.

I do not use unity, but gnome and xfce and this bug just appeared today
for me!
What a terrible regression...
Any workarounds?
I tired to set the navigation on keyboard settings, but it was already
set to alt-tab
