Graphics [S3 UniChrome Pro] as the onboard display adaptor on an Asrock
775VM800 motherboard.
Worked fine in 12.04 but after upgrade to 12.10 I get a brief flash of
the splash screen followed by no video and no keyboard. Remote

above), but upon disabling the 'login sound' I was again unable to login
using LightDM/unity-greeter. Seems to be more than just the alpha

Sure, no problem. It's likely that this isn't a problem with the Ubuntu
packaging of empathy, and will need to be addressed by the folks over at
GNOME. Could you possibly report this to the empathy developers at their

I agree. This is not fixed. In 11.10, I still see the visualization in
Firefox even when it is disabled in totem. Re-sizing the window to be small
does not matter either.
It is wasting almost 50% of my CPU!
