While using this I switch to integrated graphics card using pkexec
aticonfig --px-igpu. I then restart X. This happens even if I uninstall
catalyst (after which it switches from UXA to SNA) and the result is
same.

Even native Linux games (e.g Nexius) with normal settings are seeing
this error. Currently I am using oibaf ppa, but I had this problem
since ubuntu 13.04 fresh install. Starting from some versions of mesa
(9.1) this error has been persistent. It also causes extreme heating.
It affects 12.04 on dell inspiron n4110 too.

Sometimes dsl connection and eth0 disappears when I lose connection,
while wireless never disappears. When my connection with internet
provider dies sometimes dsl connection (for ppp0) goes away. It only

I was too early to comment. If I put
echo 2 /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness
in /etc/rc.local (before exit 0) it seems to work.
