I just upgraded from 57.0.3 today to 58 from the official 14.04 repos
and got this bug straight away.
Downgrading back to 57.0.3 fixed it for the time being.

Upgrading to 14.10 did not fix it for me.
This is not a bug in light-locker, I removed the package from my system
and it has not helped.
Post #32 workaround brings back the mouse cursor.

Removing upower seems to fix the problem, but xfce4-power-manager
depends on upower so you lose the ability to hibernate by closing the
lid. Not a good workaround.

Also for anyone getting annoyed by this bug, a workaround is to install
pcmanfm, which is based on Thunar. Then just set your default file
manager to pcmanfm in the Settings Manager - Preferred Applications.

Definitely not a duplicate of that evince bug. The two bugs don't seem
remotely related.
I clicked to remove the linked duplicate, thinking it wouldn't work
since I'm not an admin or anything and it removed!
This needs reporting to Xfce bug tracker. I will do so if no-one else
has by next week.

Adding my name to this list.
1. Choose Save A Copy in Gimp
2. Navigate by mouse to folder where I want to save
3. See that filename is highlighted so it looks like filename box has focus
4. Begin typing
5. Find that my text is appearing to the bottom right of the box.

This bug also effects the geany editor when saving over cifs.
1. Open a file and modify it
2. Save it
3. Modify it some more
4. Save
5. BAM! File has been modified dialog. Usually the time difference between
local and remote is 1 second.
My cifs server is Ubuntu 10.04 and my client machine is
update: Solved my own problem.
Simply changing the fstab entry from type cifs to smbfs fixed the
problem for me.
Not ideal but it works.
