The Asus Xonar DSX is nearly identical to the Xonar DS. The distinguishing feature is the addition of an optical digital output port. There is a patch available here http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.linux.alsa.devel/100921 to make the driver treat a DSX as a DS.
