The problem no longer occurs for me on Ubuntu 13.10. It seems that the

Could you tell me how to add this ppa:mainline repository? I've added
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/mainline/ppa/ubuntu raring main
through the software centre, but this doesn't work. I get a 404 error when

It's a loose ppa, as they really don't want to cause you to download a
fresh kernel package every day. So look in http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel-nightly/current/ and grab the .deb

Ok thanks. I've downloaded all .deb files for my system (macbook 2,1; 64
bit) and installed it.

I have this problem since I think 12.04. Yesterday I reinstalled the 64
bit version of Ubuntu on my macbook and while only had 11.10 on cdrom I
started with this version to upgrade to raring. On 11.10 I didn't see
the problem (but also didn't test this version much) from 12.04 on I see
an error

I think the underlying bug here is the PGTBL_ER: 0x2 which is an invalid
PTE for host access. Utterly baffling - the only hope is that the
rearrangement of mb() in drm-intel-nightly (ppa:mainline) help. If
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
