I'm getting this error as well, but LibreOffice actually does start
despite the error being displayed in the console.
But when I try to run 'ls -l' in konsole I get this error and no output
from the command. Is there any workaround?

It is the same with hungarian dates.
/usr/bin> ls -l libreoffice
ls: error initializing month strings
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 34 mrc 25 10:22 libreoffice ->
../lib/libreoffice/program/soffice
Many scripts use ls -l, and all scripts fail parsing the output.
