Also for anyone getting annoyed by this bug, a workaround is to install
pcmanfm, which is based on Thunar. Then just set your default file
manager to pcmanfm in the Settings Manager - Preferred Applications.

Definitely not a duplicate of that evince bug. The two bugs don't seem
remotely related.
I clicked to remove the linked duplicate, thinking it wouldn't work
since I'm not an admin or anything and it removed!
This needs reporting to Xfce bug tracker. I will do so if no-one else
has by next week.

Same here on Xubuntu 14.04 as well as Linux Mint 17 XFCE. The other
downside of this error is that is you are moving files, it causes the
affected originals to not be deleted, meaning you have to go back to

It is not a duplicate of bug #1096837 - it happens in Thunar while
coping to USB sticks, external (FAT/NTFS) drives or NFS mounts.

Same problem here also Xubutu 14.04.
Every time thunar copies a file to connected usb device I get this error. Don't
think this bug report is a duplicate of #1096837, I don't even use evince and

I just upgraded to 10.04 and I've never experience this error message
until now. I'm getting it wheather I cut and paste, copy and paste or
drag and drop files to a usb drive. In all cases the file is
