You have been subscribed to a public bug: Steps:
1. Have both laptop's internal screen on and external screen attached during bootup 2. Try to login Keyboard and mouse do not work if external monitor is connected during the bootup. A workaround is to detach the monitor before turning on the computer, and only attaching it after logging in. Switching to VT1 when running Mir has keyboard working. When typing in VT1, it gets written in lightdm as well. This didn't happen when Mir had the default mirroring mode, but started happening when the multi-monitor support landed. --- ApportVersion: 2.12.1-0ubuntu3 Architecture: amd64 CheckboxSubmission: 1896b893828b4203b948b1eb6546be06 CheckboxSystem: d00f84de8a555815fa1c4660280da308 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 EcryptfsInUse: Yes GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0116] (rev 09) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
