no sign they even noticed ...
This bug has a lot of traffic as it imports them from
mozilla/gentoo/opensuse, but the ubuntu people did still not get the
clou: their only reaction was removing the lightning (ubuntu) task as it
is obviously orphaned; but the thunderbird (ubuntu) task is still not
Ubuntu doesn't use the lightning-extension source anymore, so removing
this task.

Oops : that's a big issue.
It completely broke Lightning on the computers I take care of.
Reverting to Lightning 2.6.0 makes it work again. But Thunderbird still wants
to upgrade it to 2.6.1 : this workaround will probably only work until
Thunderbird checks the extensions for upgrade.
As
I am experiencing this on both 64bit 12.04 LTS 13.10 implementations.
I have to revered to Lightning 2.6.0 and I have switched off auto updates in
add-on manager.
