I use inkscape on ubuntu 13.10. It seems that's the 0.48.4 released. I use it on debian testing right now. Finaly i could recover my file. I set the resolution to 800x600 on a single scrren, I put th maximum thread I could on inkscape preferences and also affect more memory to inkscape buffer.
