Public bug reported:

Hi,

I'm using the following system :
Kubuntu 14.04 AMD64
AMD Phenom 9850
Mobo Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe w/ chipset NForce 570 SLI

The issue that after a resume I always have no sound. The culprit is
likely to be pulseaudio, as once I've killed it sound partially
reappears for KDE system sounds. However for other apps, like for
example VLC, this does not work.

I've also remarked something very strange, i.e. after a resume another
pulseaudio process is always started, don't know why, so this may be the
cause of a mess, and when we attempt to kill it sound is not redirected
to the PA process which was launched prior the suspend.
