Public bug reported: On 14.04 I am getting an issue on my Thinkpad T520 where running the "proprietary, tested" 331.38 driver causes my display to hang. It seems to stay that way until I switch to tty6 with ctrl+alt+f6 and then back to tty7 which has the display, this causes it to un-hang. This then happens back and forth. I am not sure but it might be triggered by clicking things, opening windows and such. The problem disappears when switching back to the open source driver.
Should I try an even newer driver from nvidia, or is there any more information you need for troubleshooting?
