Have same issue too. I removed pulseaudio, but sound still freezes randomly in browsers, local audacious playback and skype (most annoying) too. Very often my sound repeats with one fragment 10-20 times, then continue play in normal way # uname -a Linux oleg-HP-Pavilion 3.13.0-30-generic
