wondering if it is related to systemd boot, though I did look booted
without systemd too

Bug description:
  Installed via Additional Drivers, restarted - still using nouveau
  driver. Additional drivers reports that nvidia is installed and in
  use, xorg log appears to show nouveau in use. Nvidia settings doesn't
  show nvidia in use.
