I have the same problem in Ubuntu 15.10 with the latest Gnome
3.16.4-0ubuntu1. 2 keyboard layouts switched using modifiers only (Alt-
Shift)

When this been fixed?! In 15.04 was problem and fix in update. Today i'm
upgraded to 15.10 and have problem too! No icon layout in tray and i
can't switch en/ru input shortcut!

Affected also on ubuntu 15.10 with gnome-shell with hungarian layout. I
have this bug rolling on since ubuntu 13.10... Will it be ever solved

Same problem after Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 clean installation. Shortcut
Modifiers-only switch to next source(allow set combinations like
Shift+Alt) works incorrect. Switch to next input source and Switch
to previous input source works fine, but doesn't allow set combinations
like Shift+Alt through GUI.
