I'm having exactly the same problem with a Gigabyte Z97 MB which has the
Realtek ALC1150 audio chip. Howver, in my case, I'm trying to run a
current version of Arch linux, meaning that the linux kernel, sound
drivers, and pulseaudio are maximally up to date as of August 17, 2015.
So in
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
