I have same behaviour on notebook with AMD A4-5000 APU with embedded [AMD/ATI]
Kabini [Radeon HD 8330].
When I press "Log Out ..." button or make screenshot - Xorg starts eating 100%
of one CPU core for long time.

Proper DPM reclocking support for your Kabini APU was implemented in the
upstream 3.15 kernel. Does this problem still occur on Ubuntu 15.04
"Vivid Vervet"?
