GSettingsQt is asking for show-desktopicons when it should be asking for show-desktop-icons. if.gnu.linux can you please attach the /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.desktop.background.gschema.xml file from your computer? Also what is the output of running "locale" in a terminal? **
