I reinstalled ibus, which caused system settings to disappear. While
mucking about with that an update was announced, but it did not seem to
have anything to do with input bus. I went ahead an applied it. To
resolve the system settings issue I reinstalled ubuntu-desktop
$ sudo apt-get install
I spoke with a colleague at work, who also recently upgraded to 16.04
and regularly uses a Czech keyboard. He did not encounter this problem.
I see now in the keyboards menu in the toolbar (top right) > Text Entry
Settings, that there are now 6 options for a Czech keyboard. The
original one I
