This bug affects us too. We tried working around the issue by switching
to a locale which provides timestamps in a shorter format by default
(e.g. DD.MM.YY) so it would still fit into the greeter box, but
apparently simply overriding $LANG and $LC_TIME is not enough to affect
the PAM messages.

This also affects our school district. We have been unable to find any
greeter that fully displays the entire PAM message. We are using FreeIPA
with Kerberos, but it should also affect anyone using modern security
practices with LDAP or PAM. For example, if the user is required to
change their
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
