I don't know anything about the details. I just kept what appeared to be
required by snappy support (wouldn't build without it). Also, this patch
is what I have been testing for the past week, so if there's more that
can be removed I suggest we do that separately. To change the patch now

Thanks for working on that. Before I look more at it/sponsor, is there
any reason you didn't drop the trust store support? Some of the changes
are required by the snappy patch but that doesn't require the module so
we could at least remove the corresponding deb from debian/control
right?
