Public bug reported: after formatting a USB-Stick with gnome-disks, i mount it as a user in nemo but the rights are only for root. i can't change that with sudo chown or in nemo with root permissions.
how can i format a USB-Stick and use it? i know that this wasn't a problem some time ago when i last used gnome-disks. seems to be a new bug?! i use 16.04.03 with all updates installed and the problem is with ext4 or fat format ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1722812 Title: formatted USB-Sticks are mounted as root, can't change that Status in gnome-disk-utility package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: after formatting a USB-Stick with gnome-disks, i mount it as a user in nemo but the rights are only for root. i can't change that with sudo chown or in nemo with root permissions. how can i format a USB-Stick and use it? i know that this wasn't a problem some time ago when i last used gnome-disks. seems to be a new bug?! i use 16.04.03 with all updates installed and the problem is with ext4 or fat format To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-disk-utility/+bug/1722812/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
