Title:
gnome-shell crashes randomly, error in libgobject-2.0.so.0.5400.1
Status in
I have this same crashing problem, several times a day. Started about a
week ago.
I also have the same problem trying to report it. I have /var/crash
/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1000.crash which is 65M. When I try report it
using either appport-bug or apport-cli, those commands just exit
silently
Uploading crash files as attachments is unfortunately not useful to us,
and is also a security risk to you.
Please try running 'apport-cli' on the crash file in place of 'ubuntu-
bug'. It should do the same job and might avoid some problems with
ubuntu-bug.

I'm trying to follow your instructions to make a better one. I've
checked apport, it is enabled. However, when run 'sudo ubuntu-bug
_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1001.crash', the following error message pops up:
'Sorry, the program "gnome-shell" closed unexpectedly
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic
