This happens only when the drive is not mounted. Then I'm asked for a
password to decrypt it, and then I get the error on the screen.

However when the drive is mounted, then I get the error from the other
screen, and it hangs like that forever.

  I'm making backups to an external drive. Everything was working before
  the upgrade. Now it ends with the error shown on the attacked image. I
