I did interpret "I have disabled Ubuntu from requiring my password after the screen turns off" as automatic login/no password. Maybe that's incorrect. So a few questions: 1. Does your login have a password and/or is it configured for automatic login? 2. Is the dock ("taskbar") visible on the
