Thanks. The kernel log (dmesg.txt) shows some recurring problem with the Intel wifi driver that takes half a second or so each time. That might be the problem if it's holding up the whole kernel... Please try: * Turning off wifi; or * Monitoring the kernel log in a Terminal window: dmesg
