For me the bug is not stably reproducible. It sometimes occurs on the
first time I apply a transition,

Thank you for your bug report. Could you add your 'journalctl -b 0' log
when getting the issue?
Do you get any error printed if you start libreoffice from a command
line?
Trying here it works fine to select an animation but it could be
depending of e.g the video driver
