The window decorator switched from GPU rendering in 44.0 to software
rendering in 44.1, I'm told. This was because of issues on Nvidia.

This seems to have been fixed as of latest nvidia drivers or recent
Ubuntu packages updates, at least I'm not observing it anymore since
this weekend

Yup, I have seen a few (rare and random this time) crashes when pressing
the Activities corner button (or super shortcut key). It indeed restarts
quickly after that, but I assumed it was linked to

Thanks. I wonder if the new window decorator (mutter-x11-frames) is
mistakenly running on the NVIDIA GPU when it should be running on Intel
by default.

Please note that this happens consistently, it's not random or a rare
occurrence. After boot, opening Thunderbird for example makes it lack
the title bar background immediately.
