@Daniel: Maybe I answered a bit hasty. I see this issue over and over again without any Nvidia driver. But I do have a Nvidia card, if that may be related. Not sure about the root cause of this bug. We know that it happens with the Ubuntu font and that that font was changed in the mantic cycle.
