Note that the poster that said works for me misunderstood the problem (and
reopened the bug shortly after).
You can see highlighted text. The problem is that you can't REMOVE it - you
highlight something in LO writer, export to .doc or .docx, and then from
Microsoft word you can't remove it

Is there a realistic chance that this bug will ever be fixed? As one of
the other comments above points out, it has a nine year history. It
really does make collaboration with MS Word users very hard, and jobs
such as proofreading and editing completely impossible.
