If you don't have a net connection it just displays an error page stating "This webpage is not available. The webpage at http://…blah… might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.". Firefox handles this situation much better and displays an "offline" mode page. Would be nice if chromium had similar functionality.
