In Ubuntu 10.10 and Chromium <select> widgets render incorrectly. Selected item and non selected items are both grey so it's not possible to determine what is actually selected. When the user first clicks on a selected item it turns a color based on Ubuntu's appearance settings however after losing focus (by clicking another widget, etc) both turn grey. I tested on a number of combinations Ubuntu 10.04 with any variant of Chromium (Google chrome 6 or 7) works fine. The <select> is grey but a different grey and thus usable. Ubuntu 10.10 with any variant of Chromium does not work. The grey is the same color. All Windows versions render correctly. I've tried adjusting the appearance settings but was unable to make a difference. As of now I see no work around other than using Firefox. This bug does not affect any other browser I tried Firefox and Opera.
