Title:
  metacity 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1: 'd' key mapped to "show_desktop"

Status in “metacity” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: metacity

  Release: Ubuntu 10.10
  Package: 1:2.28.0-0ubuntu1

I run a bunch of remote-login multiuser systems that were originally built
with Ubuntu Hoary and that have then been successively updated to
10.10/Maverick. After this last update, users have complained that, in their
VNC sessions, when they start their gnome-session, the 'd' key is by default
set to hide and show the desktop.

They can fix it by doing one of these:

  -Editing ~/.vnc/xstartup and replacing the "gnome-session &" or "x
-window-manager &" line at the end with some old-school window
  manager, such as "twm &".

-While in vnc or conventional x display session, running gnome-
control-center and clicking on the Keyboard Shortcuts icon, scrolling
to the bottom and changing the "Hide All Normal Windows and Set Focus
to the Desktop" line to some other set of keystrokes.

  -Copying over ~/.gconf/apps/metacity/global_keybindings/%gconf.xml
from some other user who has already fixed their gnome setting into
  their own home.

At this point I can't find where in the file tree that default
keybinding is being set to "d".
