Hi,
I've also got this error with an Archos 9 tablet, after installing the

Title:
on boot, lightdm does not launch
Hi,
Emgd is Intel 3D video driver for the Intel GMA500 Poulsbo video hardware
used in ASUS T91-MT.
As described on ubuntu wiki :
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupportComponentsVideoCardsPoulsbo
EMGD closed source driver only allows 3D but only with Xorg 1.9 even with
Oneiric 11.10. See :
Adding this to help people in this case...
Keyboard layout is not lightdm problem, but evdev does not set
/etc/defaults/keyboard values (perhaps due to xorg downgrading). setting
these values in 10-evdev.conf file as below, solves this problem.

Thank you for your bug report, what is emgd? what did you need to
downgrade xserver? your hacks don't seem a support configuration

Status in
It is an incompatibility is with graphical bootsplash, removing
plymouth service during boot allows X server and lightdm to start.
