Actually (instead of re-spinning), simply by (connecting 'net and)
switching to tty1 when at choice of Try Ubuntu/Install Ubuntu, it's
possible (at least with ftp and dpkg, due to errors with apt-get) to
update g-s-d to 3.4.0 (and g-s-d-dbgsym from ddebs.ubuntu.com). That
hasn't crashed yet, so
Given that this is about LiveCDs of the forthcoming 12.04 release, I suggest
this is a valid bug.
Of course, if testing later versions solves it, that would suggest a backport
revision. May be we can test a re-spin made with ~Resysmaster?
