Switching off the hardware acceleration or using the workaround in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-
drivers/+bug/974620/comments/3 both works for me, but the latter makes
the flash plug-in quite unstable (as mentions in the
** Package changed: firefox (Ubuntu) = adobe-flashplugin (Ubuntu)
