Is that connection set to Available to all users? Please try to toggle
that setting (turn it off if it's on, turn it on if it's off) and see if
it improves the situation.

In my case I'm sure the paasword was correct.
I could solve the issue by entering the password directly in network manager
setting for the connection, instead of entering it in the recurrent popup.
