resource limits is actually not a bad idea. I would imagine that XACE,
the security extension to X that already does all the permission checks,
should be modifiable to also perform resource limit checks.

This also occurs on ATI. Running 4 screens on 2 cards. Interestingly
this only happens going right left on the top 2 screens (same card).
If I move the mouse slowly accross the gap, no jump. Anything
approaching normal travel speed and the cursor jumps all the way to
the left side. No
No response? It's pretty serious...
I'm attaching a valrgind log, but please note that I've only let GNOME
System Monitor run for a few minutes because it kept my CPU close to
100% and the CPU temperature was getting close to 100C.

Won't the fix be back-ported to 12.04 given that it is an LTS and the
bug is constantly showing up and quite annoying?

If you were to change UXA to SNA in your xorg.conf snippet, it should
also work. Can you please test that?
