Newly installed applications do not show in the dash
I (obviously) don't have time to work on this. Back then I submitted a
patch to the developers to try to improve detection, but they didn't
like it. It's not clear there is a way to detect mice reliably, so one
approach might be to just always show the settings even we can't detect
a mouse. If

Accepted gtk+3.0 into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at

hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
