As a workaround I downloaded libpoppler58 .deb and the libpng12 .deb
which it required, then put them in the same folder and ran from that
folder in terminal...
sudo dpkg -i libpoppler58_0.41.0-0ubuntu1.1_i386.deb
libpng12-0_1.2.54-1ubuntu1_i386.deb
...before attempting to install Inkscape
It also happens in safe mode and don't happen on another machine running
Ubuntu 16.04 amd64 too (Firefox).

Installing a network printer in Ubuntu 16.04 appears to install the
incorrect Device URI.
Summary:
I am not sure how the Device URI is supposed to work in Ubuntu, but installing
the printer using the Ubuntu Add Printer wizard (GUI) a string of
I changed the overrides of all the gir* packages in zesty, so that the
archive now has the correct ones. The sources should still be updated to
follow suit at some point, though.

to 12.04 and then to 16.04 (I think that is how it went, it was a two
day thing with me checking on it now and again to say yes. Now that it
is running on 16.04 I have noticed that when I left the PC for
