Bug affects me on Xubuntu 16.04 LTS, GeForce 7200 GS, NVIDIA legacy
binary driver 304.132. Several programs crashing immediately, for
example when opening some plugs-ins on Ardour 5.4.
Please fix asap, such a bug on an LTS release is double worrisome.

Saving following file on Desktop (Ubuntu 16.04.1) results in:
1. Wallpaper and all icons on the desktop disappear
2. Nautilus starts for ~1sec then breaks with "Floating point exception"
I suspect it's related to librsvg. In syslog I have many records similar
to this one:
Public bug reported:
At the logon, I'm noticing some random screen flickering on 90 % of the
screen surface. During the session, the CPU is used by Xorg, Compiz and
the applications which are displayed up to 100 % (one core). See
attached screen shot as an example.
ProblemType: Bug
Could be a duplicate of bug #1644986, but this bug does not point the
CPU issue.

simply because of Netflix not working good with Firefox currently (if at
