Never had this problem on my fully patched Ubuntu 16.04 until just
recently, when I noticed that the Firefox menus do not display after
restoring from a suspend. gnome-terminal and gedit are OK. Iconizing
Firefox, then restoring, restores the menus to working condition. Same
sorts of errors in
I upgraded a 16.10 system with working wireless, to 17.04, and after
reboot, the wireless no longer connects.
The wireless sees the wireless networks available, but it will not
connect.
I have a long WPA2 passphrase (22 characters, with upper and lower case

When using xrandr --scale to make my HiDPI screen usable with my lower
DPI screen, moving the mouse over the navbar makes the mouse pointer

It could also be because of DNSsec. I have seen HTTP working, though
HTTPS failing.
When adding the Google nameservers before the default (127.0.0.53,
systemd-resolver) everything works as expected.

The root cause of this problem is probably that the "invoke-rc.d cups
stop" command fails on Xenial if there are jobs in queue. The dpkg
preremoval script runs that command and thus the upgrade procedure
fails. In the newer Ubuntu versions the command executes flawlessly.

but not in workstation" list, and it fixed the issue, at least for

I did a clean install of the Ubuntu 17.04 release today. All websites
were opening correctly in Chrome/Firefox using on a LAN connection.
However, on WiFi, gmail/youtube are not opening in Chrome/Firefox. I am
able to successfully ping both gmail and youtube. Other websites
successfully
